Accessibility statement
Accessibility
We support people with disability. It would be indefensible for our own website to be hard to use, so we have built it to be one of the more accessible sites you will visit today.
Tools built into this site
Select Accessibility at the top of any page to open the toolbar. Your choices are saved in your own browser and applied to every page you visit. Nothing is sent to us.
- Text size — standard, large or largest. The whole layout reflows rather than clipping.
- High contrast — removes background tints and shadows, and increases contrast to the maximum.
- More spacing — increases line height, letter and word spacing, which many people with dyslexia find easier.
- Underline links — makes every link in the content visually obvious.
- Reduce motion — turns off animation and smooth scrolling.
How this site is built
- Targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Body text and interface colours meet or exceed a 4.5:1 contrast ratio, and most exceed 7:1.
- Body text is set in Atkinson Hyperlegible, designed by the Braille Institute to make letterforms easier to tell apart at low vision.
- Every function works with a keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus outline and a skip link to the main content.
- Headings run in a logical order, forms have real labels, and errors are announced rather than shown by colour alone.
- The site respects your operating system's reduce motion setting automatically.
- Text can be enlarged to 200% in your browser without loss of content or function.
- The whole site still works with JavaScript disabled.
Where we know we fall short
Being honest is more useful than claiming perfection. We are working on:
- Easy Read versions of our key pages
- Auslan video introductions to our services
- Translated versions of the most-used pages
If something is not working
Tell us and we will fix it. Describe the page and what went wrong, and we will respond within two business days. If you would rather not use a form, call us — we will take your feedback over the phone and note it ourselves.
